Believe Builds Everything

Fabio Posca Season 5 Episode 27

Send me a Text Message! I am Happy to Hear from You.

What if the gap between you and your goals isn’t talent, but trust—trust in yourself, your process, and your next small step? We unpack why belief is the hidden engine behind skill growth, consistency, and resilience, and how it quietly outperforms shortcuts and hype.

I walk through six practical pillars that convert self-doubt into momentum. We start with self-belief as the driver that reframes comparison into curiosity, so you stop measuring worth and start asking better questions about practice. Then we get honest about limits—budget, language, environment—and how acknowledging constraints unlocks creative solutions that fit your reality. You’ll hear how a positive mindset and belief reinforce each other, turning setbacks into useful signals rather than stop signs.

We also dig into transparent storytelling as a tool for impact. By sharing the wins and the rough drafts, we create connection and model the real path to growth. From there, we focus on resilience as a trained skill: showing up on heavy days, using support, and solving problems under pressure. Finally, we make the case for small milestones over shortcuts—why viral spikes, favoritism, or quick promotions can’t build the habits, discipline, or emotional strength you’ll need when the spotlight hits.

Expect clear examples from creative work, the office, and study, plus reflection prompts to ground the ideas in daily action. If you’re ready to build belief the durable way—step by step, lesson by lesson—this conversation will give you a blueprint to navigate comparison, own your limits, and stack wins that last.

If this resonated, subscribe, share it with a friend who needs a nudge to trust their path, and tell me: what small milestone will you tackle this week? Your story could spark someone else’s breakthrough.

SPEAKER_00:

Do you believe in yourself? Do you believe in your project? In your goals, in your purpose, and your dreams? Do you truly believe in them, guys? I was sitting at the table with my sister and my my fiance watching a new a new Netflix program called Building Your Your Band. And I was fascinated. I was fascinated by how many talented singers there were there, basically, you know. And they were all good. Of course, some were better than others, but overall, guys, how can I say if any of them became famous, you know, you wouldn't question how they made it. They were really good, all of them, most of them. However, something to consider in this story is that it doesn't matter how good you are. According to statistics, only 1% of people reach success, guys. Whether it's singing, you know, acting, podcasting, or anything live. So when people say that talent is overrated, they're right. They're right, because talent alone won't get you anywhere. So if you rely on solo talent, you might do something entirely different in life. Okay? What really matters is how much you believe in yourself and how much you believe in what you do. And that's what we're going to talk about today. Hi guys, my name is Fabio from Journey to Success and welcome. Today we are diving into something simple but incredibly powerful. Belief. When you trust yourself and the path you are on, guys, something turns in in the most positive way. You unlock energy you didn't know you had. You you develop skills you didn't think you could achieve. You push through setbacks and you keep moving, even when things get heavy, guys. And in this episode, we're gonna talk about why believing in what you do matters so much, and how that kind of inner trust can change your life, both personally and professionally. But before we go forward, as always, please subscribe. So I know this is the right direction to lead you guys, to drive you, to guide you towards your journey to success. And let's get started, right? As always. So, here I would like to share six pillars that are important for your self-esteem, helping you believe yourself and your dreams. First pillar, so first one, self-belief drives everything. When you believe in yourself, guys, right? Whether you are talented or not, you reach a different frequency than those who may feel like they're competing against you. People who lack self-belief often focus too much on their surroundings, okay? For example, consider the case of before, right? The case of singing. If someone who doesn't believe in themselves sees a person who sings better, they might think, Oh my god, I can't reach that note, so I'm not better than her or him. And this can lead to feelings of envy as they believe that someone else's talent decreases their own worth. They may also feel victimized, thinking that they didn't train their voice for an external reason, and they are hesitant to take responsibility for their lack of effort. And this can create guilt, you know, as they realize that their lack of progress is due to their own choices. So it is a negative spiral, as you can see, and self-doubt grows grows stronger. So unfortunately, in this case, you end up in a spiral where you drain your energy and you are less and less focused on yourself. On the other hand, when you believe in yourself, you can acknowledge that someone thinks better than you without it affecting your self-worth. You might think something like, okay, I can I can't reach that note. How can I improve my skills? So instead of viewing others as a competition, you see them as a source of inspiration for you for your own growth. This mindset, guys, allows you to take memos from others and focus on improving yourself. If you realize that practicing for only one hour a day isn't enough, for example, you may decide to practice for two hours instead. In this way, a person who believes in themselves becomes a continuous problem solver, you know? So you can you always continue to find solutions. We can apply this example, of course, to almost anything in life. It's not just about singing, all right? It can be in the office. So it shows in the office, in business, fitness, creativity, relationships, every space where growth matters. Number two, second pillar, acknowledge your limits with self-belief. This is a very interesting topic. When um I mean, when when if I think right now, right, when I think about it now, with my current level of maturity, it seems obvious for me that it's so important to acknowledge your limit, you know. However, the truth is that only a few years ago, I didn't want to admit my limits. During my podcasting journey, guys, I sometimes recorded without a script or relied on spontaneity, like podcasters do. But the truth is I needed to approach things differently from most podcasters if I want to provide real value as a professional. Since I didn't have the budget for a professional setup, for example, I have been using software that helps make my podcast sound good. I also don't have a soundproof room, so I make sure to record when it's quiet in this part of my house. So I acknowledge how important spontaneity is in podcasting, all right? But I also know I'm not a native English speaker. So I learned to be spontaneous while following a script that I write myself and keep in front of me, because otherwise I risk compromising the quality of the ideas I want to share with you, you know. And I could only reach this point by acknowledging my limits. That's the only way to improve, all right? Whether you are talented or not, you need to acknowledge your limits. The reality is that everyone can overcome obstacles, everyone. But you can only do if you acknowledge your boundaries. You can only recognize your limitations if you believe in yourself and in your project. Okay, so the moment you recognize limits is the moment you find powerful and creative solutions. It is the moment you improve. Remember that. Number three. So third pillar, positive mindset and believing. Positive mindset and believing in yourself go end in end. A positive mindset and self-belief are fundamentally interconnected, guys. It is challenging to maintain a positive perspective without confidence in oneself. And on the other hand, self-belief is challenging to achieve in the absence of a positive attitude. So both aspects work in a symbiotic way to enhance yourself and reach your goals, okay? Number four, inspiring others believing in yourself. So, guys, I never hide who I am. For me, you will always get true about my journey. The reason is that it helps us better connect with our goals. So, only if you relate to my journey in this podcast, can you improve and reach your success, okay? I don't want you to see me as an unreachable person who talks about success by showing only my victories. Because that may make you feel your goals are out of reach. And that's of course, that's not the purpose of this podcast journey to success, right? So the more I share my struggles with you, the better I can inspire you to do better on your journey. Okay. So I include my ups and downs, the behind the scenes. I like to show you the the that I am a human being, just like you, with pros and cons, milestones and setbacks, victories and mistakes. All of these mark my journey. As you as well. Every journey is made up of these elements, from uh Frank De Becker to Tony Robbins, you know. And uh by sharing uh the real path I've taken to reach my goal, I hope to make it easier for you to achieve great milestones in your own journey one day. If I only share my successes, guys, those of you who might be looking for inspiration during tough times may not see the whole picture. So I want you to know that I face setbacks too. So I can inspire you to achieve your success, despite all the baggage you have to carry, you know. But you can show your vulnerabilities only if you fully believe yourself. And remember, the more self-confident you are, the more intellectual honesty you possess, which makes you mentally and spiritually stronger. Okay, that's very important. Developing resilience. How many pillars I stated in this podcast? Okay, so one, two, three, four. Yeah, fifth fifth pillar, developing resilience. So I was right, six pillars. So developing resilience. Resilience refers to the capacity to recover from challenges, setbacks, or adverse events that disrupt our everyday lives, all right. It involves not only the ability to tolerate tough situations, guys, but also the development of strategies to navigate difficulties. And this can manifest in various ways, such as maintaining a positive attitude in the face of adversity, seeking support from friends and family, using problem-solving skills to overcome obstacles, and so on. It doesn't matter which methods you use to build your resilience. However, if you don't believe in yourself, your project, your goals, you will struggle. You will struggle to recover from unfortunate events in your life. So resilience empowers individuals to emerge from problems with a sense of growth and renew strength, allowing them to face future challenges with more confidence and determination. But you can only build resilience if you have confidence in yourself, alright? Otherwise, you can't, you cannot do. And achieving uh small milestones. So look at the big mountain representing your goal, alright? But be careful, be careful where you place your foot, as that is what you must walk before reaching that pinnacle. We were discussing this reality show before, right? So building your name, building who you want to become through these shows can make you feel like you are on your way to becoming someone great in the future, right? So you can already see the mountain. But these shortcuts are not good for your self-development. And guys, honestly, I've nothing against these shows, you know, and I'm genuinely happy for those who find success. In my opinion, most of them truly deserve it, you know. However, when you take shortcuts, right, you miss out on developing resilience, the discipline to move forward, the self-confidence you need to achieve your goals, all right. A society that promotes this show encourages them to take shortcuts, avoiding the essential small milestones, you know. But achieving small milestones, guys, and learning from mistakes is crucial for developing the self-belief that you can uh succeed in life. So without achieving these small milestones, guys, it is challenging to build that self-belief, okay? And again, this is just one of the main examples of shortcuts people might take. For example, imagine someone in the office who flirt with their boss to secure a higher position, you know. If this is the only method you believe leads to success, well, that's of course it's not the right approach. Or think about someone who becomes famous on social media because one video went viral. It feels like a big deal, right? It feels like they climbed the entire mountain one day. But if they haven't built the habit, the discipline, the skill set behind that success, they collapse the moment the numbers go down. So they weren't ready for consistency, they weren't ready for pressure, and they weren't ready for the long game, of course. That's what happens when you skip milestones. You know, you get the spotlight, but not the foundation. And overall, you miss the opportunity to build your confidence, okay? Another example. Imagine a student who cheats on every test. So on paper, they look smart, right? They look prepared. But the moment they face real life, they panic. Because they never learn how to study, how to focus, how to handle failure, how to improve. So shortcuts give you the grade, but milestone give you character, okay? Relying on shortcuts, guys, does not contribute to your personal development or mental success, not at all. And these are two fundamental aspects. Uh I mean, these are are the two fundamental aspects you truly need when you experience setbacks. So the only thing that can lift you in this situation is the self-confidence. The self-confidence you build through resilience, you build through a positive mindset, and you build also thanks to an acknowledgement of your limits. Okay, you can develop this confidence only if you believe in yourself and your ability to succeed without shortcuts. This means you should celebrate your small achievements along the way, and with patience and dedication, you will reach your dreams as you have planned. Okay? So these were the six pillars. Now, before we wrap up, as always, let's review and go a bit deeper into what we explore today. Because this episode wasn't just about you know believing yourself. It was more about understanding why belief matters so much. How it shapes your daily actions and how it influences your journey, guys. What do you think about belief? You might imagine something motivational, you know, something you repeat to yourself in the mirror, in the mirror. But belief is much more practical than that. It's something that shows up in the choices you make every single day, guys. It shows up in how you react to setbacks, in how you compare yourself to others, in how you show up when nobody is watching. So let's take a moment now. Let's take a moment to review the pillars we we discussed today and uh understand them more deeply, okay? So we talk about self-belief and how this can drive everything. It is the enjoying behind your growth, guys. When you truly believe in yourself, you naturally begin to focus on the right things, okay? You stop wasting your time comparing yourself to others and start asking, okay, okay, how can I improve? How can I get better at my stuff? And that simple shift puts you on a different frequency. It push you into a mindset where you're not scared by others. Instead, you are inspired by them, okay. And this applies everywhere, not just in singing, as uh as we said. It shows up at work, relationships, your creative projects, your fitness. Belief shapes the way you show up in every room you walk into. Okay, remember that. Acknowledging your limits, limits. Number two. This is one of the most powerful things you can do for yourself. And as I said earlier, this took time for me to understand. A few years ago, guys, I didn't want to see my limits, honestly. It felt uncomfortable. Of course, it was uncomfortable, you know. Almost like admitting the feat, you know. That that that's in the beginning, that's the feeling. But the truth is that recognizing your limits uh is not a failure, it's a strategy, it's clarity, it's the first step, you know, toward improvement. And during my my podcasting journey, I realized that I had to do things differently if I wanted to deliver value. Okay, I didn't have the perfect equipment, I didn't have a soundproof room, I'm not a native English speaker, so I found solutions. I used software, I wrote scripts, I'm recording uh at the at the calmest time, you know, where uh I'm sure that the mic doesn't catch any sound. So I built my strengths around who I really was, not around who I wished I was. Okay, and that's what I'm doing still these days, by the way. And that's the point, anyway. You can only find reasonable solutions if you acknowledge the reality you are working with. You can only evolve where you are honest with yourself, guys. And that honesty is rooted in self-belief, okay. Another one is the positive mindset. Positive mind mindset and belief go end in end, guys. One cannot exist without the other. It's tough to stay positive if you don't trust yourself. And on the other hand, it's hard to believe yourself if you are constantly thinking in a negative way, you know. These two, these two concepts work together and fuel each other. And when they are aligned, your growth becomes natural, almost automatic. You stop fighting yourself internally and start pushing forward with clarity, okay? Inspiring others by believing in yourself. That's the the the the fifth one. I or the fourth one. I told you earlier in way, I never hide who I am. I share the ups and downs, the behind the scenes, everything. Not because I think my path is special, but because I want you to see that grow is possible even when the circumstances are not perfect. You know, I I want you to see that you your setbacks do not squalify you, they shape you. Like from the becker down the street to the most prominent motivational speaker in the world. Everyone has a journey made of mistakes, victories, doubts, lessons, and breakthroughs. Okay, and when you embrace your story fully, when you believe in it, you naturally inspire others to believe in themselves. The fifth one is uh believing yourself by building resilience. Resilience is not something you are born with, it's something you develop through repetition, through adversity, through showing up when things feel heavy. But resilience, guys, cannot grow in a person who doesn't believe in themselves, okay? Without belief, every setback becomes a wall. Alright? With belief, every setback becomes a lesson. And it is via those lessons that you become stronger, more mature, and more grounded, okay? And lastly, finally, achieving small milestones. This is the essence of everything we talked about today. The small steps, the small improvements, the the the moments when nobody claps for you. That's where real confidence is built. That's where you learn the habits, the discipline, the patience, the emotional strength you need for the long run, you know. Shortcuts, guys, might make you feel like you arrived early, okay? But they don't build your foundation, not at all. They don't build your character, they don't prepare you for the for the challenges that success brings. And the moment life gets difficult, because it always does, unfortunately, shortcuts collapse. But milestones stay with you forever, guys. Every small victory reinforces the belief that you can do it, every mistake teach you something in your life, every challenge amplifies your mindset, you know. And uh, all of this becomes the fuel that keeps you moving forward, okay? So remember, self-belief is no magic, it is built, and you build us, you you are gonna build step by step, guys, limit by limit, lesson by lesson, milestone by milestone, all right? And one day you look back and realize that the mountain you you thought was impossible, it was climbed one small step at a time. Now, I want to hear from you. How do you build belief in yourself? What small milestone are you working on right now that's helping you grow? Send me a message, share your story, or connect with me on Soupstack as usual. I genuinely want to know because your journey, guys, matters and your experience can inspire someone else who is listening right now. And if you enjoyed today's episode, you already know how important it is to subscribe so you never miss an update, okay? Thank you so much for being here with me on the journey to success. I wish you a wonderful, wonderful News Year Eve, uh, whatever you are, whether you are with friends, family, or your partner, enjoy the moment and get ready for 2026 with even uh more splendid uh confidence. I'll see you in the next episode. Cheers.
