Journey to Success
Beyond Money: Jung's Path to True Freedom and Fulfillment
Send me a Text Message! I am Happy to Hear from You.
The quest for financial freedom often focuses solely on money, but true freedom is about reclaiming your time and discovering who you really are. Whether you're feeling trapped in your current circumstances or simply sensing there's something more to life, this episode offers a profound framework for understanding your inner journey.
Diving into Carl Jung's revolutionary psychological concepts, we explore how the unconscious mind serves as a source of wisdom rather than just a repository of repressed thoughts. Jung's ideas about archetypes—universal patterns appearing in stories, dreams, and myths across all cultures—help explain our behaviors and struggles. From the hero's journey to the shadow (those parts of ourselves we try to hide), these patterns reveal our current life stage and inner conflicts.
Individuation, Jung's term for becoming your authentic self, offers a refreshing alternative to conventional self-improvement. Rather than striving to become someone better, Jung invites us to become whole by integrating all aspects of ourselves—both light and shadow. This process begins with awareness, recognizing that our emotional triggers and recurring challenges aren't random but meaningful symbols guiding us toward growth.
The transformation starts when we realize our struggles form part of a deeper narrative. By exploring the unconscious through shadow work, dream analysis, and attention to synchronicities (meaningful coincidences), we decode our inner story. This journey isn't about achievement but alignment—bringing our outer life into harmony with our inner truth. When we follow this path, we discover that fulfillment comes not from success alone but from living authentically and embracing our complete humanity.
Ready to explore what Jung's concepts reveal about your life? Share what patterns or symbols you're noticing in your journey, and subscribe to continue this conversation about becoming who you were always meant to be.

Have you ever felt like there is more to you than what you are currently achieving, guys, right now, right now, I'm still working for someone, like most of you, I guess but I'm working really, really hard to achieve my financial freedom. For me, financial freedom is not just about money. My fiance told me me recently I feel rich, fabio, don't you feel rich because we purchase a robot vacuum cleaner, you know, to help us manage our duties more effectively. And I told her that I don't feel that richness because internally, I really feel rich, with or without vacuum cleaner or a nice tv. But then I realized that our concept of wealth is the same as the one I mean, so it's connected to the freedom we're beginning to, to create in terms of time, guys, not about money, okay, and that's what we're talking.
Speaker 1:We are talking about time when we refer to financial freedom. Well, I mean, in my case and the case of my fiancé, it's always special when a couple aligns with the same values. You know what I mean. But anyway, my main concern, talking about time, is the fact that today is a beautiful day. Outside in the netherlands, it is going to reach 31 degrees at five o'clock in june. That's a lot, it's exceptional. And guess what? I have to work from 2 30 to 11 o'clock in the evening. See, guys, it's not just about money. It's not about money at all.
Speaker 1:My concern is about the time. It's about giving my time to someone else, in this case to my CEO, who will probably go out and enjoy life today with his family. You know, don't get me wrong, there is no jealousy or envy. Well, maybe a little bit of jealousy because you know I'm still a human being. But in a sense I'm quite happy for him because you know he built his financial freedom and he probably deserves. Maybe I would do the same if I owned the company. Probably I would do the same. The point is I'm still working for him today. That's the reality, and I'm giving my time. You are giving your time to someone else.
Speaker 1:I hate this idea, you know. I really hate it. Everyone has their idea of achieving something in life. Right, for someone it might mean being in the office and advancing in their careers, and that's perfectly valid for me, perfectly fine. But what if God or the universe has a different plan for us? What if we are here as a miracle to explore better who we are? We don't know that, but we're here to explore today.
Speaker 1:Hi guys, my name is Fabio from Journey to Success, and welcome. Today we introduce the concept of personal development through the lens of Carl Jung, showing how relevant it is in this modern era, you know. But before to go forward, as always, please subscribe. So I know this is the right direction to drive you guys, to lead you, to guide you towards your journey to success. And let's get started right, as always.
Speaker 1:So, first of all, who was Carl Jung? Carl Jung was a Swiss doctor and a psychologist who helped shape the way we think about the human mind. Born in 1875, he spent his life studying why people think. He was studying how people feel and especially how people behave. You know the way they do behave. You know the way they do. You may have never heard his name, but his ideas show up everywhere in books, movies, therapy sessions, personality tests.
Speaker 1:But what did Jung believe? Jung believed that there is more going on inside us than we realize. Okay, he said that each person has two levels of mind. So the first level is the personal unconscious. So these are your own memories, feelings and thoughts that you ignore, that we ignore. And then there is the second one. The second level is the collective one. The second level is the collective unconscious. This is deeper, deeper and also pretty spiritual, in my opinion.
Speaker 1:So Jung believed that all humans share a kind of universal memory full of symbols, stories and patterns. He called these shared ideas archetypes. Okay, archetypes are like characters or themes that appear over and over in stories, dreams and myths of all cultures. So we have, for example, the hero. Think of characters like Harry. Have, for example, the hero. Think of characters like Harry Potter. You know Frodo Moana that I watched recently. Then we have the wise old man. Think like Dumbledore or Yoda. And the last one is the shadow. For me it's the most fascinating one. So think of Darth Vader, who is the dark side, of Anakin Skywalker, dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, gollum and Smeagol, bruce Banner and Hulk. So this represents the dark sides of our personality, the parts we try to hide. But it is always there, ready to be accepted. So these show up in dreams, films, books and even in our personal stories, our own personal stories.
Speaker 1:And Jung was also the first to talk about introverts and extroverts. You know when sometimes you say, yeah, I'm more introvert, or maybe I'm more extrovert, maybe I'm a little bit both. Okay, there is a clear statement about introvert and extrovert, and he's the one who invented these two words. So introverts get energy from being alone and extroverts get energy from being around people. Now, as much as I like to be around people, the truth is that I definitely get energy from being alone. I don't know about you, but, yeah, I guess I'm more introvert, evidently. So what is the point now? Why all of these things that I'm saying to you are important to us. All of these things that I'm saying to you are important to us.
Speaker 1:Everything that I highlighted is a part of core concept, very, very important concept, and this concept takes the name of individuation. So Jung said that the goal of life is to become your true self, right, so this process is called, again, individuation. So who you are for real and when you are exploring you know your real well-being, your real human being, your, you know that version of yourself that tried to level up. You also have to accept all the parts of yourself, of who you are, even the parts you don't like. So the shadow and becoming a wall, finally.
Speaker 1:So, also, jung believed that sometimes strange things happen, and these strange things that happen, they also feel connected, even if they don't make logical sense. He called this synchronicity. Synchronicity or synchronicity, it's about syncing sync, all right. Synchronicity or synchronicities it's about syncing sync, all right. For example, when you think about someone and then somehow you get the text, you know what I mean. So you like, in a way, you felt that someone was texting you exactly that person. So, to Jung, these are not just coincidences. They may have a deeper meaning. Guys, and Carl Jung also helped people understand that we all carry deep stories inside us and that becoming aware of our stories that can help us to grow, to heal and find purpose.
Speaker 1:Okay, so before to face this argument anyway, let's discuss the common struggles people face in realizing their potential, such as self-doubt, first, fear of failure and lack of direction. So self-doubt. Self-doubt is a feeling of having no confidence in your abilities and decisions. Okay, then we have a fear of failure, so a consistent and intense fear of not achieving success or meeting expectations, and then, at the end, we have the lack of direction. The lack of direction is a situation where someone is doubtful of what they want to do in life or where they want to go in their career or personal development. So how can you face these struggles.
Speaker 1:You can face these struggles, starting to understand your personal and collective unconscious. See, everything is connected. So the personal unconscious comes from possessing your forgotten memories, suppressed emotions and experiences. And the second one is a deep one. It's very, very deep and let's say it's a layer, a layer shared by all humans, filled with universal patterns and symbols. We call them archetypes. So when you understand your um, your unconscious, this helps you to heal emotional damages, break bad patterns and discover gifts or talents you have ignored.
Speaker 1:Okay, we also have signs to help us understand our experiences during this process. For example, when you find yourself sabotaging your effort or repeating the same mistakes, it could be a signal from your unconscious trying to get your attention. It might be saying, for example hey, if you are getting drunk right now, it's because maybe, just maybe, you don't want to be where you are at this moment. It's time to choose a different path. Or maybe it's saying hey, say hey, hey, hey, if you feel depressed after work, it's a sign that you're not happy in your current situation, so it's time to take action and seek something different. So we receive these signs, guys, but often we fail to take them seriously.
Speaker 1:Okay, but the next question is how all these concepts young, and concepts such as the unconscious mind, archetypes and individuation, I mean, how do they contribute to personal growth? Let's take a step back. The unconscious mind, guys. It is not a place of repression, but as a source of wisdom, creativity and potential. This is not mine, this is from Fraud, okay. So just to make it clear. And this source of wisdom, anyway, creativity and potential, of course, can help, you know, for personal growth, for personal development. But how? In which way?
Speaker 1:By these three concepts point where each of them has three key points. Again, the first one is the unconscious mind, the second one is the archetypes and the third one is the individuation. We already talked about it in this episode. I know that is the archetypes. And the third one is the individuation. We already talked about it in this episode, I know that. But in this case we're going to highlight three keys, three important keys each for any of them.
Speaker 1:So the unconscious mind has three important keys shadow work, dream analysis and symbolism. So the first one shadow work. So by exploring the unconscious, especially the shadow, the part of ourself we deny or reject right, we reclaim lost parts of our personality. We reclaim lost parts of our personality and in this way this leads to bigger wellness, to self-acceptance and authenticity, because the moment that you recognize yourself is the moment you feel also more authentic with yourself, right? The second one is dream analysis. So Jung believed dreams are messages from the unconscious, so pay attention to them can bring insight, you know, guidance and healing as well. Number three, so the third key point, is symbolism. So recognizing symbols that emerge from the unconscious in dreams, art or life, helps us make sense of inner battle and growth opportunities, guys.
Speaker 1:Then we have the archetypes. In the archetypes we still have three keys self-understanding, mythic lens and integration. So the self-understanding is identifying the archetypes active in your life, right, like signs around you. This way it helps you understand your inner purpose as well, rules and challenges. The second one is the mythic lens. So seeing your life as a story filled with archetypal challenges empowers you to navigate struggles with a sense of purpose. And the third one is the integration. So recognizing both light and dark archetypes helps integrate all aspects of your psych, allowing for a more balanced and adult self.
Speaker 1:And then, lastly, we have the individuation. Still three keys here. First key is the self-actualization, the second is inner alignment and third one is authenticity. First, self-actualization, so individuation, encourage you to move beyond societal expectations and ego-driven goals. Right, and talking about the self-actualization, you are going to think about how to reach your purpose via your deeper self. Then we have the second one inner alignment. So this involves integrating all aspects of the personality, conscious and unconscious, it doesn't matter personal and collective, so you are not fragmented or driven by inner conflict. As you can see, guys, it's all about to become a whole person, you know. And then we have the authenticity, so you become more unique, grounded and spiritually centered. So life begins to feel meaningful, not just productive. So all these concepts, as you can see, guide you toward facing fears, embracing your full humanity and finding, of course, your unique path.
Speaker 1:So Jung didn't offer self-improvement in the modern sense, you know. He offers self-realization that's very deep. So it's not about becoming someone better, it's about becoming who you were always meant to be. And then, of course, probably you're gonna. The moment that you are, the moment that you are the person you're meant to be, is the moment you realize that the version of you, the 2.0, I don't know is literally there, you know, close by you.
Speaker 1:And now let's talk about another concept that is very fundamental the transformation, the transformation. The transformation begins when a person becomes aware that their struggles, patterns and emotional triggers are not random. They're part of a deeper symbolic inner journey. Guys are not random. They're part of a deeper symbolic inner journey, guys. So this realization often happens during a period of crisis, transition or inner conflict, when the ego so the identity we have built starts to feel limited or unfulfilling. Okay, of course, in this case, we are totally out of our comfort zone, so you don't need to worry when something unfortunate happens in your life. You also shouldn't be concerned if you start to feel down or unhappy. These are signs and when it happens, you need to understand how to change your life for the better. Of course, we are all human beings, guys, and it can be difficult to maintain such a positive perspective. I know that. You know it's normal. We're human. However, in the long run, you know we hope we view everything that happens to us or around us as a good sign for the future.
Speaker 1:Another thing to understand is that true fulfillment doesn't come from success alone. Okay, it comes from becoming complete, becoming whole, complete, becoming whole. So you begin to start a path that feels aligned with your values, desires and inner truth, who you really are. So this is the path to fulfillment, okay. So, in short, the moment of transformation is when you realize that your behaviors and struggles are part of a deeper inner story. So Jungian concepts help decode that narrative in a way to guide you toward a more conscious, meaningful and fulfilling life is a narrative that is important to build your real story okay, who you really are.
Speaker 1:Now let's break down this episode in in seven points. First point personal growth starts with inner awareness. So many people feel there is more to life than their current, their current reality. Okay, so that sense of inner uh, perturbation I don't know how to say is often the first signal from the unconscious mind encouraging us to look deeper. Number two young and psychology offers an interesting path.
Speaker 1:So carl young's concepts like the unconscious mind, archetypes and individuation, help us decode our inner world. So by recognizing hidden patterns, emotional triggers and recurring situations, we begin to uncover who we truly are. Number three archetypes help us understand ourselves. So archetypes like the hero, the shadow or the wise old man are universal themes. Everyone has it, and these show up in our thoughts, our dreams, life choices. So identifying them can reveal our current stage of life and inner conflicts guiding us towards growth, guys.
Speaker 1:Number four individuation is the real goal. So, unlike chasing external success, individuation is the process of becoming whole, and this happens when you integrate the conscious and unconscious mind, the light and the shadow, the ego and the deeper self. Right? Number five fulfillment comes from alignment, not achievement. So the journey is not just about money or success. We know that. We don't need Jung to know that, okay, but we should know that true freedom comes when your life aligns with your inner truth, who you are for real, not who you want to become based on I don't know, on something because you want to make money, you know, and you decide to become, I don't know, a mindset mentor. So your values, we're talking about your values. What are the values here? The real one, the energy? Uh, the purpose, the real purpose, what is? What is your purpose? What is your purpose? That's so such important question. And this makes especially sense when you highlight your story as well, because based on what happened to you in the past, you can really shape your future. Okay? Number six I think so.
Speaker 1:Transformation begins with awareness, of course. So the turning point is where you realize that your strong goals and patterns are not random. They're symbolic messages from within Very, very spiritual concept. So transformation starts when you choose to listen, reflect and act. And the last one number seven you are not alone on this path, of course. This is a collective journey, guys. So by sharing these insights, you invite others to awaken, reflect and begin their own inner work. And that's how, of course, transformation begins. Now I would love to hear from you what is one sign you're recognizing yourself right now, or what unconscious pattern are you starting to notice and explore? And still, how is it shaping your personal growth and what insights are emerging from it? Drop a comment here on below and let's open up this deeper conversation.
Speaker 1:And if this episode resonated with you guys, don't keep it even in the shadow. Share it with someone who needs it, okay, someone who just needs to recognize their story, their symbols, their path to, to, to fullness, to. While I always appreciate the fall of, it is the sharing that activates real transformation. That's how this collective journey expands, you know through awareness, through connection, through reflection. Thank you, thank you so much for tuning in to Journey to Success. I don't know, I was pretty excited today with this episode and I try to make, I know a young concept is a serious concept, but I really try to make it interesting for you and what else? Every time you face the unknown guys integrate a part of your shadow or take a step closer to your true self. All right, you're not just growing, you are evolving into your fullest potential and that is the most powerful journey, I guess. I appreciate every one of you. Until next time, stay conscious, stay curious and keep becoming who you were meant to be. Cheers.
