Speaker 1:

Did you know that, according to the American Psychological Institute, 77% of people regularly experience physical symptoms caused by stress? So, guys, we are talking about more than three out of four people, you know. So stress is literally everywhere. So it's in the work, in the family, finances. It is like we're constantly running but never reaching the finish line, you know. Now think about this for a second. What if I told you that finding balance is not just possible, but it is something you can start working on today? So in this episode, we're going to explore how to bring calm to the cows and take back control. Hi guys, my name is Fabio from Journey to Success, and welcome.

Speaker 1:

You know, life moves fast between jobs, responsibilities and the constant notifications on our phones, so it is easy to feel like there is no time to breathe. Finding balance might sound like something for monks, you know, or people living in the mountains, but it is something that can help all of us in the mountains, but it is something that can help all of us. Balance, at the end of the story, is not about avoiding responsibilities or stopping work. It's about managing things better and giving yourself room to rest. So in this episode, we're going to break down simple ways to create more peace in your life. So think about the last time you felt truly relaxed. How often does that happen? So, for many people, the answer is rarely. But that is what we are here to change today. But before to go forward, as always, please subscribe. But before to go forward, as always, please subscribe. So I know this is the right direction to drive you, to guide you, to lead you towards your journey to success. And let's start. Let's start. So, so, so, let's start. Let's be real. Life feels overwhelming. Sometimes Work can feel never-ending. Family or personal issues might pull you in different directions. And social media, you know, social media makes it seem like everyone else has a life figured out, but when, of course, it's not true. So this constant pressure leads to burnout, of course, and when burnout hits, even small tasks feel impossible. You might start avoiding things or feel guilty for taking breaks. You know, a big part of the problem is not knowing how to say no. So we overcommit because we feel we should do everything, but trying to do it all often means doing nothing. Well, another issue is time. People say I just don't have time to relax, but the truth is we often spend time on things that don't really matter, like endless scrolling or worrying too much. You know, when I worry too much, I have so much headache and then I just stress myself instead to rest. So how do we fix this? Let's look at a few strategies that really work for you, for all of us.

Speaker 1:

So the first point is mindfulness, is mindfulness? Mindfulness? So mindfulness is simply being present. That's it. Sounds fancy, but it is really. Just pay attention to what you're doing right now. Okay, eating without looking at your phone, for example, or going for a walk and noticing the sounds around you. That's mindfulness. That's mindfulness, that's it.

Speaker 1:

You have not to do anything crazy. It helps lower stress and improves focus. So try this. This is a good technique. Take five minutes each day to sit quietly, breath deeply and focus on your breath. Sounds simple, but this small action can change how you handle stress. All right. So again, breathe deeply and focus on your breath. I feel better. I also feel better Time management.

Speaker 1:

We all have, so this is the second point time management. We all have. So this is the second point time management. We all have the same 24 hours. So, right, some people manage it better. So start by prioritizing tasks. Make a list of what truly needs to be done each day. If something can wait, let it wait. Also, in this case. Another technique you can use tools like calendars or apps to plan your day. For example, in my case, I like to use Todoist. You can make a lot of order in your brain, so block out time for important tasks and don't forget to add breaks. All right.

Speaker 1:

Number three setting boundaries. Say no is so powerful. If you are tired or overwhelmed, it's okay to say no to extra work or social plans. People respect you more when you set clear boundaries. I remember one day I was listening to one of the episodes of the School of Greatness by Luis Hoz. It's a podcast I always advise, so you should have a look. And he said the same.

Speaker 1:

He said say no when you say yes too many times is the moment where you are showing a certain procrastination. Right, you are procrastinated with something that you don't know yet, that you don't know yet. So the moment you say yes is the moment where you are dedicating your time, your energy, your space to someone else. So you have to be careful when you say yes, because it's the moment where you dedicate yourself to someone else, and exactly that moment is the moment where you are procrastinating with something that you can do, also resting, okay, also resting or, like we said before, doing mindfulness, is a moment where you can take yourself. But if you say yes too many times, well, you know that person can take that energy, that space, that time from you, and you have to understand this. You have to understand this right. A simple way to start is by not checking emails also after work, or keeping weekends free for yourself. It's also a good way to take energy back in a way to use better during the week.

Speaker 1:

Number four physical health. So your body and mind are connected. Try to understand this. So regular exercise, even if it's just walking, all right, regular exercise can lower stress. Eating well and sleeping enough also play a true. Small changes like drinking more water, it's also important. Or stretching each morning can make a big difference, Something that I don't do so much often. So this episode is also good for myself as a reminder, you know, because I also have some bad habit, like all of us. Number five social connection. Surround yourself with positive people, all right. So friends or family who support you make balancing life easier. Sometimes just talking to someone is beneficial, hmm.

Speaker 1:

Okay, now let me share a personal story. A few years ago, I felt completely overwhelmed. All right, so work was hard. I kept saying yes to everything and I thought I had to handle it all by myself. One day I just thought that that was just too much. Okay, I just realized things had to change. I started small, by taking five minutes breaks and learning to say no to things that didn't align with my goals or my priorities. So slowly, I felt the difference. I wasn't perfect, but I was better, and that's what balance is about Progress, not perfection.

Speaker 1:

Now let's recap a little bit. We talked about how stress affects most people and how balance can bring calm to our chaotic lives. So remember these strategies practice mindfulness, manage your time, guys. Set clear boundaries. Number three. Number four take care of your health. Number five connect with others. These are simple but powerful tools that you can start using today. Now, as always, I would love to hear from you how do you find balance in your daily life?
