Or actually, let's consider this what if believing in yourself was the key to unlocking your true potential? Think about it, guys. All right. So how many opportunities have you missed because you didn't trust your abilities? How many? Today, we're going to talk about self-trust and why it is so essential for personal growth and success. Hi guys, my name is Fabio from Journey to Success, and welcome. Have you ever doubted yourself, even when you knew you could do it? That's self-doubt. It's a feeling. It's a feeling we have all faced and it can stop us from reaching our goals, our dreams. But here's the thing. All right, trusting yourself is one of the most powerful tools you can have. It's like having, let's say, an inner compass that keeps you on track even when life feels overwhelming. When you believe in yourself, you're not just hoping for success, you are actively creating it. You are actively creating it. So, in today's episode, we're going to explore self-trust, why it is important, what all does back and how to build it. By the end of this episode, you will have practical tools and a fresh perspective to start trusting yourself more. So let's get started, but please, before to go forward, subscribe. So let's talk about what happens when we don't trust ourselves. First, there is paralysis that inability to make decisions because you're afraid of making the wrong one right. Have you ever been so unsure about what to do that you end up doing nothing? That's paralysis. Then there is missed opportunities. That's paralysis. Then there is missed opportunities. So self-doubt keeps you from applying for the dream job, starting that new project or speaking up when it matters most. Finally, we have the confidence.

So self-doubt affects our confidence. So it's like carrying an invisible weight that makes everything feel harder than it needs to be. Why does this happen? What is the reason? For many of us, it's because of past experiences, of course, our traumas. Maybe you know we felt that something and it marked us. Or perhaps we have been criticized. You know these moments stick with us, creating a pattern of self-doubt.

But here is the true self-doubt. But here is the true. No one is born doubting themselves. Think about it. No one is born doubting themselves. Guys, it's something we learn, and because of that, it's something we can unlearn. Okay.

So to rebuild self-trust, we first need to understand its roots. So let's divide this concept in three areas. So the first area is where self-doubt comes from. The second one is how to build self-trust and the third one is mindset shift. All right, so let's talk about the first one, where self-doubt comes from. First, past failures. We talked about it before. Maybe you tried something before and it didn't go well. That experience can make you hesitant to try again, okay. Then we have the societal pressures. We live in a world that constantly compares us to others. Social media shows us everyone's highlight reel, making us feel like we're not enough. Okay. The third one is negative feedback, of course. So sometimes the criticism we have received, even from people we trust, sticks with us longer than it should. Now let's talk about the second area. So how to build self-trust.

Speaker 1:

Building self-trust takes time and effort, of course, but it's completely possible. I'm going to give you some steps, some tips. First, celebrate small wins. I always talk about it. Every time you succeed, no matter how small, take a moment to acknowledge it. This helps you see yourself as capable, all right. Second, keep promises to yourself. Start with small commitments, like waking up at a certain time or completing a simple task. In this way, you are going to build trust in yourself.

Okay, the third one is challenge negative thoughts. So, when self-doubt shows up, ask yourself is this thought helpful? Is it true? Often, guys, you will realize it's just fear that is talking to you. And the fourth point, of course, visualization, especially visualize your success. Visualize success. So picture yourself achieving your goals. Visualization strains your mind to believe in possibilities instead of limitations. Ok, remember that Third area mindset shifts. Start seeing failure as feedback rather than a sign of incompetence.

Okay, each mistake is a lesson that brings you closer to your goals. You have to remember that. So one exercise that helps for sure is journaling, for example. So write about times when you doubted yourself but succeeded anyway. That's very important, because we tend to forget that these stories will remind you of your inner strength. Okay, All right. All right. So I have a story for you now. The story is about Adele.

Know Adele, you know the, the famous singer. Uh, we love her. She's, uh, she's a beautiful soul. And now she, she took a break. Also, she's right to do. But Adele, with this story, adele shows the power of self-trust.

So when Adele was creating her album 21, she faced self-doubt after her debut album success. So critics and fans had high expectations and she worried. Of course she worried whether her next project could live up to the hype or not. Despite the pressure, adele trusted her instincts and stayed true to her style and emotions. So one of her most famous songs you know Someone Like you came from that album, so it was deeply personal and not the kind of flashy hit, so it was truly from her heart. But Adele believed in her feelings as well and it paid off. So the song became a global hit, topping charts and connecting with millions of listeners. So her success proves that trusting yourself, even in the face of doubt, can lead to incredible achievements. So let's recap now.

Self-doubt can hold us back in so many ways. All right, paralysis, missed opportunities and loss of confidence. Opportunities and loss of confidence. But it is important to understand where it comes from and you know which step we're talking about in a way to take the right step and in a way to rebuild self-trust. Of course, remember it is also important to celebrate small wins. So keep promises to yourself and challenge negative thoughts. So that's very important.

Trusting yourself is not about being perfect, guys. Look at me. Before, not even two seconds ago, I just repeated the same word three, four times. It's not about being perfect. It's about believing your ability, believing about the fact that you can grow, about the fact that you can adapt everything that you have in your brain, in your hand, in a way to give the right value towards you, towards yourself and towards the people around you. When you trust yourself, you open the door to new possibilities and, let's say, a deeper sense of fulfillment.
