But before to go forward, as always, please subscribe. So I know this is the right, you know let's say, strategy to guide you, to lead you, to drive you towards your journey to success and let's go forward, right.

Speaker 1:

So let's talk about some common struggles when we're talking about people with ADHD. So for many, the biggest issue is focus. Okay, so when you have ADHD, it's like your mind wants to pay attention to everything at once. Imagine trying to read a book in a crowded, noisy room. That's what trying to focus can feel like. Okay. So then there is the struggle with organization. So ADHD often makes it hard to keep things in order, whether that's a to-do list, maybe your workspace or even a daily schedule. Things pile up and suddenly you are overwhelmed, okay, and then there is the time management, of course. So ADHD can make it really hard to estimate how long a task will take, so you might end up either rushing or missing deadlines. This can create a cycle of stress, frustration and even lower self-esteem, but these challenges don't have to hold you back. So understanding these issues is the first step in finding solutions. Now let's finally get into the real heart of this episode, so strategies can help you work with ADHD, not against it.

Speaker 1:

So first let's talk about time management. All right, so we were wondering about how to manage your time and, of course, one great tool is timer. So try breaking down your work into short bursts with the italian pomodoro technique. Since I'm italian, I'm so proud of it, and it's a beautiful technique I I used to use once ago. Actually I should take it back, but basically what you have to do it's very simple. So you have to set a timer for 25 minutes and work on just one task. Okay, that's it 25 minutes, work on just one task. Then, when the timer goes off, take a five minute break, that's it. So this can keep you focused without feeling like you are bound to one task for too long.

Speaker 1:

Next, let's look at organization. All right, so people with ADHD often benefit from visual reminders. So you know they use sticky notes, color-coded files or even apps like Todoist, which I use as well, and this way, you know, can help you organize your tasks in a way that's easy to see. So creating a daily or weekly schedule with visual elements can make a huge difference in staying organized. Another powerful tool, of course, is mindfulness. So practicing mindfulness exercises, like deep breathing or short meditations, you know, in the morning, for example, can help calm your mind. So just taking five minutes to close your eyes, breath, relax and this way can help you reset. So you can use apps like calm that can offer guided meditations that are especially helpful. There are different apps, of course, but I found calm the best one.

Speaker 1:

And finally, let's talk about breaking tasks down into smaller steps. If you have a big project right, try dividing it into tiny steps. So each step should take no more than five max 10 minutes, so this way you will not feel overwhelmed you just focus on one small step at a time. Now, guys, regardless if you have ADHD or not, these are beautiful techniques anyway that help you to succeed, to reach your goal. So it's important to divide your big goal into small steps. It's important to be organized in a way to, let's say, speed up in your work to reach your goal. And, of course, the Italian Pomodoro technique. It's very powerful and, regardless if you have ADHD or not, it's very powerful and you can use it to reach your dreams. You know, as I say, yes, this episode is I'm properly focused, talking to people who have ADHD. But let's be honest, all the strategies that you see here are strategies that are very important to reach your success, your goal, regardless.

Speaker 1:

Okay, now let's share a story. I like to share stories sometimes. I know this. This friend also advised me to share more stories in my episodes, and here we go. So let's share a story of someone famous who turned adhd into strength. So we're talking about the Olympic swimmer, michael Phelps.

Speaker 1:

So Michael was diagnosed with ADHD as a child and he struggled. He struggled a lot to sit still and focus in school. Okay, so his teachers thought he wouldn't succeed because he couldn't stay focused, but instead of letting ADHD hold him back. But instead of letting ADHD hold him back, michael and his family found a way to channel his energy and attention. So swimming became that outlet for him. It was a sport where he could focus all his energy and push himself without feeling like he was stuck in one place. He used the structural routines of training to manage his symptoms. So in the pool, he was able to find focus and use his ADHD to his advantage. He trained with intense, short bursts of energy, which is often ideal for people with ADHD. And there we go you have a successful person who became successful because of the ADHD. So the result Michael Phelps became the most decorated Olympian of all time, winning 23 gold medals. So he showed the world that ADHD doesn't have to be a limitation. Instead, as I mentioned before, it can be a strength, if you find the right environment and approach, especially that works for you. So remember, adhd doesn't mean you are at a disadvantage. Like Phelps, you focus on your strengths and find ways to work with your brain so you can achieve incredible things. And at the end you know he became successful because of it.

Speaker 1:

Ok, now to summarize a little bit. Today we looked at some simple yet powerful strategies to help manage ADHD. We talked about time management tools like the Pomodoro Technique Italian tool. Sorry, I had to mention again Organizational resources like sticky notes and color-coded systems and, of course, the power of mindfulness. Okay, that's also very important. We also explored how breaking tasks down into small steps this, of course, can make a huge, a big difference in staying productive and calm can make a huge, a big difference in staying productive and calm Very important as well. So, most importantly, we discussed the idea of viewing ADHD as a different way of processing. It's not a limitation, guys. So with the right tools and mindset, success with ADHD is more than possible. Remember, adhd doesn't define you and it's possible to create a life that works for you All.
